About 20 incidents were reported in April, compared with 24 for all of 2010, said FreightWatch\u2019s Dan Burges.<\/p>\n<p>Thieves are going through <a href=\"http:\/\/freightbrokerscourse.com\/\">online broker sites <\/a>to<a href=\"http:\/\/www.findfreightloads.com\/\"> find freight<\/a>, impersonate legitimate carriers and pick up loads at shipper locations, FreightWatch said.<\/p>\n<p>The organization is warning shippers to ensure they are only releasing freight to known and verified <a href=\"http:\/\/www.findfreightloads.com\/\">transportation companies<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fraudulent pickups of freight are increasing in California and other states as thieves pose as carriers, according to FreightWatch International.
