{"id":6210,"date":"2022-03-04T22:07:08","date_gmt":"2022-03-04T22:07:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/findfreightloads.com\/blog\/?p=6210"},"modified":"2022-03-04T22:07:08","modified_gmt":"2022-03-04T22:07:08","slug":"minneapolis-based-retailer-target-invests-in-last-mile-logistics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/findfreightloads.com\/blog\/minneapolis-based-retailer-target-invests-in-last-mile-logistics\/","title":{"rendered":"Minneapolis-based retailer Target invests in Last Mile Logistics."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Minneapolis-based retailer Target Corp.is seeking to extend its growth push after closing out 2021 with record-high revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at its annual investor meeting in New York, said its plans for the year include 30 new stores \u2014 ranging from urban locations like New York&#8217;s Times Square to midsize stores in the suburbs \u2014 and new several sortation centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the full year, Target\u2019s revenue hit $106 billion, compared with $77.1 billion for the year ended Feb. 1, 2020, before the pandemic upended the global economy and consumer buying patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Target is also planning to remodel 200 <a href=\"http:\/\/findfreightloads.com\">retail <\/a>locations during the year, and will add 250 more Ulta Beauty mini-shops in its stores, expanding on a partnership with the beauty retailer that opened 100 such shops in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company also promised more investment in digital services and same-day fulfillment offerings.
